Travel Nursing Job Details

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM start)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 75% of holidays during contract
- Floating: Required within region and scope of practice
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Parking: Free
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong clinical skills in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps, and medication gtt management (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF)
- Ortho nursing experience required for Ortho Surgical unit (7N/S)
- Flexibility to float to all units within the facility and region as needed
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage complex medication drips, and deliver specialized care for post-surgical, cardiac, renal, and behavioral health patients
- Float between units and facilities within the Charlotte, NC region as required, adapting quickly to new environments and patient needs
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance with facility standards and best practices
